Superior Casings is an Australian owned and operated company which has been supplying butchers and smallgoods manufacturers with high-quality natural casings for over 20 years. Our business was founded by Managing Director Richard Spira, whose family has seen four generations of involvement with natural casings for over a century.  Richard’s family continues to be a major operator in the international natural casings market - cleaning, selecting and distributing natural casings around the world.

Superior has processing plants and facilities in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, as well as ventures in China and the USA. Our head office and state-of-the-art export-registered selecting and warehousing facility is located in Marrickville NSW, just minutes from the key transportation hubs of Sydney Airport and Central Railway Station. Here we produce, select, import and export natural hog, sheep, lamb and beef casings throughout Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

Superior Casings is an innovative company which sets the standard for natural casings products. We continue to develop our range in response to customer feedback, and can offer solutions which - as well as creating a delicious sausage - will increase your stuffing speeds and enhance the general ergonomics of your sausage production.

A company is only as good as its employees, and Superior is home to over 50 dedicated and passionate staff with years of experience in the industry. All of our sales representatives are qualified butchers, so they understand your business and your production needs, and will work with you to ensure you get the highest quality, most cost-effective and relevant products. Our production staff are second to none in cleanliness and efficiency.
